And you'd better stayed dead.

The show is currently aired on MTV in Germany and I watched the first episode. I thought it was a cool thing: guns, high tech and funny plot about a bunch of dead people who seems to be resurrected to fight alien creatures. So I got me the whole Gantz episodes... very big mistake. The main character is as already said in the first comment an breast fanatic teenager, who couldn't think of anything else, even in the worst situation. additional every single character seems to be egoistic to the top. every time you hear the thoughts of the characters they mainly consists of "what should I care; why should I go and risk my life; it's his fault, I can't change anything, so don't bother me". they have no substance and thats really boring after a while. When they fight an alien like creature the first time I expected a bit action and well, there was action and blood, lot of blood and dead people. but I bite my nails and ripped my hair off when the characters start to argue with themselves whether to shoot that alien or not. they are threatened, killed to the last man have lots of guns and hesitate to use them whenever they can. Instead they stare at the aliens, start to scream, hide behind each other or try to run. first time I find it kind of funny but it happens way too often.

The story is weired, I already mentioned the resurrected people. it seems absolutely unimportant who is resurrected, no special abilities, or special backgrounds. Absolutely cruel (rapists, crime lords) to complete innocent people (grandma and the little boy) are send to kill aliens (well, send to die would match more)and absolutely nothing is explained.

To summarize that: A bunch of flat characters are equipped witch guns an special suits to kill (or be killed by) aliens in very bloody ways. I think I'll see to get rid of that DVDs as fast as I can. Go and watch "ghost in the shell" that's something to enjoy! I'll give a 4 out of 10 'cause you won't die watching the show, but I think most would have spend their time doing other things.
