I keep imagining Mogg as some kind of cartoon character from The Beano. Which he is, in a way.
Not in a bad way, really. I don't mind. I like his unflappable style and his brass balls in tricky situations. He has tremendous clarity and just lays out his conviction plainly. A lot of people appreciate a conviction politician even if they don't agree with him/her on everything ( a common example involved with Mogg is over his stance on abortion ). There is a lot of 'working class', grass roots, callitwhatyouwill, trust and appreciation towards Mogg, despite his obvious upper crust toff demeanor - which actually a lot of people find characterful and likeable, in an eccentric British way.
We want The Mogg ! We want The Mogg ! |
