Spent a long weekend in Tenerife recently (last weekend).

Weather was ok down at sea level.Amazing up in the mountains.

Cooler.Obviously.Blindingly clear blue sky though.

Twice i've been now and it's rapidly becoming my favourite "few days away in Winter" destination.

Agree, just landed back from a sunny, warm week in Tenerife. Great hotel in a quiet location, maybe not for everyone.Going back 4 weeks today, adults only, all inclusive

Without derailing the thread and making it all about us lol

I have spent hours upon hours finding the right place over the years, and we (wife & 8 year old), will either be going back to Fuerteventura.

I've googled/trip advisor/friends Lazarote Tenerife, Portugal, Cyprus and everything that we need points us back there.

December 16th   10/14 nights
Self Catering
Poolside apartment
Resort type location
Away from British/Russians
Good restaurants
Good evening entertainment (music square Corralejo)
Quality sandy beaches
Quality clear water
Good temperature

For me, it is the only place and man, i have spent way too may hours on this.

I hope you find what you are looking for!

Appreciate all the pointers guys. I'd love to go to any or all, but the woman I had in mind to take has justifiably been a bit sore at me recently data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 If I win her back (and I'm really trying), I still hope to go away with her. And it might be a bit warmer too!

Never been to Fuerteventura.

I understand it has the best beaches of the Canaries but i'm more of a mountain person than a beach person.

I'll have to google to see how flat the island isdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Sitting looking at it now. I'm next door in Lanzarote.

These volcanos high enough?
