Ok I've had a little play today and have had some interesting results.

Heart rate monitor appears to be working well, when I first started it seemed to be way off but settled down after 6 hours to what I would expect. My resting heart rate is 49 according to Vivo HR but normally 51 approx so not too far out.

Indoor Rowing - accurate on stroke rate, doesn't measure distance obviously but it didn't automatically start. I gave up rowing after a minute to set it going properly and once I did that it worked fine. I did think it would recognise rowing though, maybe I'm wrong to assume that.

Indoor Running - unless it's me this is way off. I ran for 20 minutes (had to start the function not automatic) and when I stopped and compared to what the treadmill said the Vivoactive had registered 0.80km more run. That's a huge discrepancy. Anyone else tried treadmill running? Just wondering if it's the treadmill or Vivoactive that's way off! If it's the Vivoactive I'll just use it for outdoor running.

Have you got move IQ turned on? Have you done the 15min outdoor walk/run to calibrate?
Im at the gym tomorrow morning and will have a 20min run so will be able to update you the outcome.

Fubar, Move IQ is set on according to mobile but I haven't done the 15 min outdoor walk to calibrate. Is there instructions for this please? Thanks.

from clock swipe down tap screen? then it will ask if you want to do a 15min calibration.

It will learn, if you go for outdoor runs it will learn your stride with the GPS. I think you can set it manually as well.

thanks guys, will do that in the morning. See if it helps but apart from the learning curve it's working well!

Looks the same as mine, it books worse at night as the backlight doesn't seem that good.
I think I've just been spoiled by my Apple OLED screen and my OLED TV
