Hi anyone used this with bluetooth headphones on outside run? Without phone. What were the results. I went yesterday and they kept cutting out.
As a test i went same route today when walking dog and they didnt drop once? I did have my phone with me but turned bluetooth off on it. Half way round i also started a manually activity like i would if i was running so it was doing exactly the same as day before.
Next time i go running im going to try turning wifi off on the watch rather than leave it on auto. See if that helps. I just cant see why it would work walking and not running. Bit of a nightmare really main reason i wanted this watch over others was to run phoneless.
Any other suggestions/experience on this?

I haven't tried any BT headphones but will see how I get on here - the biggest problem I have is the altimeter which varies by 100m up and down each day! Not sure if it just gets it from the weather app or whether there's an actual problem.

I've used my headphones for runs loads of times with no problems. Assume this is music stored on the watch? Maybe just teething problems on your first try.Just remember gps tracking and music playing at the same time will use alot of ram.If you have other apps running too this might cause the issues you had?

The altimeter doesn't seem very accurate at all unless you calibrate it regularly. Don't use it at all though so not really a problem for me.

When I listen to Spotify offline while out walking the dog I have the level active headphones connected to my phone and I have the S3 in remote mode. I find the connection drops out a lot and I put it down to the phone connecting/disconnection from various wifi hotspots as it seems to be in the same locations.

The altitude is from a pressure sensor in the watch and as the atmospheric pressure changes with the weather it is always going to vary. I have a proper altimeter for paragliding and although it is more accurate it still needs a reference altitude before every flight.

Yeah put some music on the watch. Thats what i was thinking it may just be struggling. I think the 2nd time when i walked and it worked i had just turned it on. I will have to try again and see if it happens agailn. You would think this type of basic use would of been tested by samsung though.
On another note if we ever go back to apple phones good to see the s3 is not supported in ios app.
