No, I'm not using any Watch face apps. Actually I don't think a single app is responsible for it. But I honestly don't want to do a Factory Reset. I guess I have to accept this battery life.

I charge mine every night, there's not a chance I'd get 4 days out of it. Might get 2 days of ten hours weara day.

Only had mine a while but found a few things out that weren't mentioned in the review videos I had watched, they might be in the instructions but who reads them data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
By default,Wifi (I didn't even know it had it) is turned on on the watch,I wondered why my S8 was still showing a connection to the watch while I was at work after I had left it at home data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
It only offers limited functionality while "remotely" connected so I turned the Wifi on mine off, interestingly when you pair the watch and phone any saved Wifi networks on your phone are transferred to the S3 as well.
I also turned off the "wake up" function by turning your wrist as mine was coming on all the time,it isn't a great hardship to press a button to see the time and then covering the screen for a second to turn it off again.
I don't use the "always on" option either.
Again, unless you are REALLY into the fitness aspect then turn off the "auto heart rate" option,I doubt it uses that much power but hey, every little helps data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
As it stands I can get about 2 1/2 days in normal use.

Argos have both models reduced to £299.99 plus another £50 off with the code S350

Ive just ordered a classic for £249.99

Is a screen protector necessary for these watches?

Ive had 4 or 5 smart watches in the past, and always ended up selling them once the novelty wore off. Im far more into my fitness now than I ever was so hopefully that side of things will prove useful.

I would say given the screen is slightly recessed from the bezel that if you were to somehow damage the screen you would almost certainly damage the bezel as well, maybe only scratch it or take a "dink" out of it but probably enough to affect any resale value or drive you mad having to look at it data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
My point, yes a screen protector might protect the screen but there is ample opportunity to damage the watch in other ways so a screen protector almost seems pointless.

Fair enough, I'd rather not use one. I do look after my stuff very meticulously in general.

Which model do you have and has it lived up to expectations?

Can it in anyway interact with Google keep?

I'm really excited to start playing about with it tomorrow, I love a new toy data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Thanks

TBH I would have been happy with either,I just bought the one that was in stock at the time.
I like it although having had an Android watch before you will find that the Samsung versions are a bit limited in terms of apps.
This wasn't an issue for me though,I wanted it for telling the time, notifications, receiving calls with and contactless payment and it does all that out of the box and more besides.
Also,I wasn't keen on the current crop of Android watches so it made the choice even easier.
There is no interaction with Google that I am aware of other than receiving notifications from Google related apps already on your phone.

Thanks, I'm limiting my expectations but I want it for pretty much the same reasons as you. I would probably have talked myself into getting one at the full price but it feels far less risky at the reduced price.

Am I right in thinking it can work with Google maps? I vaguely recall that feature working well on an earlier Samsung watch I had, although it could have been the moto.
