This is exactly the same for me.

I was too hoping for that iPad experience to be able to just grab and do quick things as easily and then use it as a laptop when needed, but so far it hasn't felt like that.

It seems to work spot on as a portable laptop but not so much as a Ipad replacement.

My ultimate goal was for it to replace my iPad and Mac. I know I've not had it long at all but I have a feeling it would replace the Mac but not the iPad side of it

My goal was the same, to replace my iPad that gets used for typing notes in meetings and to replace my laptop that gets used as a laptop! Its also frustrating coming from Apple to Windows in terms of usability, i'm sure I will get it though and it will start to click, although I can see me having a phone, an ipad & the surface! 3 devices!!

I'm trying to justify buying the SP4 i7 when it comes out next month.

I've an iPad and iPad mini, but 99% of the time I only use it to watch Sky Go. My wife the same only videos & SkyGo.

Everything else, my iPhone 6 serves me on the go. So, why do I need the SP4? Portability? I've a Lenovo T440s which is very light, excellent battery life and powerful enough to do my development work.

I hope to justify buying the SP4 before then

hi i have pre ordered the sp4 i7/16gb/512gb version that comes out dec 10th.

Does SP4 have 3G/4G cellular option like iPads?

If I'm on the train, I'll want internet to use it

Well I've just got home and grabbed the pro 4.

I left this morning with 33% battery to come home and it's dead no power at all

WTF!

If this is how it's going to be there is no way it's replacing my iPad

chukwe Publish time 2-12-2019 06:00:10

I never thought it could replace the iPad. It's more of a 80% laptop and 20% Tablet. Likewise, iPad Pro is 80% Tablet and 20% Laptop.

I don't think there is any 50-50 at the moment

I saw it as "the tablet that can replace your laptop"

Notice the word "tablet" hence replace my iPad first (which I use most) and my laptop.

I really want it to but I don't think it will

Tether through your phone or wait for the 4g version of sp4

we need to power it off, or better still hibernate when not in use, that will conserve battery completely. ill try that tonight/tomorrow and see how I get on.

at the moment though im thinking of getting an ipad pro or just sticking with my ipad air...
