Is this still the Cosmos thread?
Has HTC actually acknowledged the tracking issues?

As this is the Cosmos thread and it’s now completely off topic I’m not going to reply. Please repost in the appropriate thread.

@MikeKay1976 I'm not reading any more monologues. But in answer to your first question, @aoaaron quoted you and dragged you in, not me data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
Edit: Sorry... I'm a dipsdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7t... @aoaaron didn't quote you, he quoted @Atmos who had tagged you... I did drag you in for no reason... Though you went for it data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

whilst it was a long post I felt I had to make it because if you are going to accuse me of something, if I am gonna be blamed for something it is only fair that i get to defend myself and actually put the record straight.
So my monologue which you do not want to read is on you i am afraid.... If you want to Troll someone at least troll the right person data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I am not sure if HTC will be able to address it through software though due to the type of camera they are using for tracking. software may make it slightly better but it looks like a hardware issue

They can change the intensity of the LED bars on the controller and compensate by adjusting the exposure on the cameras. They need to find the best balance between the two. All controlled by software.

changing the LED intensity would have a negative effect on battery life though i imagine.
not normally a problem but given the reported life is already on the short side .......................

RoadtoVR have now published their review after holding it for the tracking issue:

Three and a half years after the launch of the original Vive, Cosmos finds itself in a rather strange competitive landscape where it simultaneously must defend itself from a longstanding rival... /proxy.php?image=https://roadtovrlive-5ea0.kxcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/road-to-vr-favicon-test.png&hash=e9d7f325a28d78c35e6e28d745e72a29&return_error=1 www.roadtovr.com
It doesn't sound great though:
The comments on the difficulty getting the headset comfortable and in the right position are concerning as well as a few others have mentioned that issue.
