So, initial impressions:
- Sony: leak was @it. Very surprising range with new remote and other features...they seem to have hdmi 2.1 which is a Sony surprise.
oled very nice and lcd could be good too..why the 8k are monster sizes is a mystery. I expect smaller sizes by sept or simply new zf9 aka zg9 4k?
New player 800 has DV!!!
- Pana: superb looking tv with DV & hdr10 ...looks like pana stepped it up...no news about fald
Pana also released a nice uhd player which is very close in spec to their cheaper 800 player...bizarre
- Samsung: no news about new q9 but word on the grapevine is that it is much better than current. Annoyed with Samsung and lack of transparency. Feels like they waiting for competition to show their hands before adapting offering...
So what for me?
- Sony xg95 and new oled worth a look but latter not available before Aug/sept...so no starter. Xg95? Will see
- pana oled worth a look (doubt there is a fald). That’s the oled which may make me take the risk if as good as I think it is
- Samsung new q9...waiting for this baby with cautious mind...hope it is mini led
- LG oled (probably not for me).
Did I forget something? What is your reaction from latest ces news?
