These Are The Awesome 4K TV & Tech Developments To Expect At CES 2019 -

Matson Publish time 1-12-2019 22:24:29

I am looking forward to CES. I do love my Q900R and its by far the best TV iv owned. I also bought it on the 100 day no hassle returns options so if there is an updated model or maybe a Sony 8K Flagship that looks even better I always have the option. I don't think OLED will do it for me as I feel its just going to be small improvements like always and they will be lucky to get past 1000 nits this year that we thought they would last year. Give me a true Z9D flagship upgrade with 1000zones 4K nits and 8K and I maybe tempted data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 I wonder if will see any Mini LED screens from the top brands.

All the bets are open this year....I am just struggling to think how they will sort the hdmi 2.1 issue as available from March 19 only...
Samsung at least trying to evolve the external connection...wonder what the others will do
After everything I have read, it is possible that we will see prototypes for micro led and qantum oled in jan...lots of 8k

The key question for me is how much mini led will be mainstream aka applicable to the top fald from Sony and Samsung. Mini led can be applied as backlight over 10000-40000 individual led and controlled via 1000 plus dimming zones..or vice versa...

Still trying to work out how it works exactly...

Interesting part is that on top of what Matson highlighter aka qantum dot on glass, we could see phase 3 which is qantum dot color filter...
Stage 2 reduces thickness, stage 3 is far more exciting in thenproclaimed implications...(prototype shown behind close foor one year ago)
Can’t wait now even if jan still feels too early

Nanosys guy predicted last year that we would have the new tech incorporated this year, can't trust them now.

What I like to see is a new 4K native set LCD/LED tech released, but I fear the TV companies eager to sell the products, would just increase the res to 8K and brand them as a new tech, but it's just a gimmick, there is nothing in 8K. It's quite simple to increase screen res to 8K, but much harder to come up with something that will increase the picture quality of a native source like 4K.

Sorry my friend but I don’t understand what you mean by native 4k?
You mean mini or micro led for 4k?

Nanosys like any company on the globe can just put planner predictions and as a projet manager I can tell you they rarely materialise unless you have a hard stop and bla bla bla...

I am now 90 percent sure we will see QD on Glass but it is not enough...as I want to see stage 3 aka QD color filter as per my email above. Mini led for smaller sizes unlikely but we can hope

@Matson they issuing a software updatefor your 8k fixing lots of things !!! Dixit John archer forbes...nothing for q9fn ?
