It seems that B&O are releasing a new smart tv of similar sizes and specs to the Connect ID imminently, called the Beovision 11. To say the connect is in a class of its own, is a brave statement to make. I like the specs though.

The new beovision 11 will be one specced up tv, it apparently will have the same video engine chassis as the beoplay v1 tv. But comprising a triple tuner, 6x HDMI, 500GB internal HDD, some RJ45 fittings 10 speaker connection capability with separate steering possibility, antireflex, 3D, web access. A motorised, 90 degree capable wall bracket is optional.
I think that it will definately compete with the reference ID. I won't lie i have always loved bang-olufsen, and there speakers and tvs produce some of the best pictures and sound i have ever seen and heard but i still love my connect id. The picture and sound quality alone makes it a real good investment for me.
Bang-olufsen are annoucing some new products on the 4th and 10th of october which will be speakers and their new smart tv.

I doubt it will get close to the price of the Connect ID, looking at those specs. The Loewe is not much above the same sized "top-of-the-range" models of the usual suspects.

Watched the program about Fleetwood Mac on BBC4 tonight and was again blown away by the audio quality this TV can deliver.

I find it strange that many people haven't tried this tv out as i'm sure that if they did they would be surprised at what this tv delivers.
I have read many threads where people talk about how weak there tv sounds or the picture not being quite right and needing alot of tweaking, but the loewe delivers on so many levels it has an amazing picture and brilliant sound quality for a tv.

It's the only tv that's got me not looking at B&O, and after 28 years that's a big deal.

Does anyone have any issues with reflections on this tv?
In the shop environment in John Lewis and the Loewe Galerie the screen appeared to be glossy and had reflections similar to a CRT.
This could prove problematic in placing the tv in a bright sunny room whereby it would be difficult to watch without drawing curtains.
I would be interested to hear peoples opinions on this aspect of the tv.

It is a little more reflective than the TV it replaced at my house, though that was quite matt. I would say that it is less reflective than a CRT. I can notice (just) if I have the back door open and the stronger light from the opening shines through. If I get watching something though, I forget about it.

Reflections don't really seem to be an issue for me when watching mine.
