I am going to run some calibration bits and look for dead pixels. The footie has run the other tests.

Heads up to owners and potential buyers, before you throw the box away on the side of the box there will be the article number and serial number of your tv.

It is important that you take this down as this is what you will need when it comes time for you too register your tv on the loewe website. From there you will be able to get the latest software updates and information.

Don't panic! Unless you're wall mounted. The details are on the back of the set too. I noticed the label on my box had a little peel off sticker on it with the info on too. Not sure where that was supposed to go. I've stuck it on the front of the manual.

So Mark, were you above or below 1000 with your serial number? I'm above and am guessing you're waaay below.

OK, I've written up my review and buying process text and counted the words. 2363 of them! Rather than kill the thread, I'll do it as a link instead. Here it is:

I enjoyed reading your review but theres still alot for you to learn on this tv you can indeed change the treble and bass settings on this tv if you go into the sound menus theres a custom setting which enables you to change the treble and bass settings.

Also if you turn on the auto volume leveller and auto speech recognition, this improves speech even more. And then theres the loudness option which you can have on or off, i have this switched on and the sound improves even more you get even more clarity and bass.

On hd try setting the picture format too pc it does pixel to pixel mapping with no overscan.

Once again really nice review.

Can you use the TV as a centre and then the variable outs to a pair of active speakers like you can on some of their other TVs?

gizlaroc Publish time 1-12-2019 22:07:55

Just read the manual and yeah you can.

I have had my B&O Beolab 6000 speakers up for sale, but now considering selling my Pioneer 5090 and getting one of these and keeping the Beolabs.
It is step back picture wise but a compromise worth making for a nice integrated system.

Although the blacks won't be kuro like they are pretty deep, much blacker than previous loewes... the only bugbear is the usual lcd traits which are colour drop off when viewed from the side. Besides that i don't have any complaints with the loewe it does everything right in my book and then some.

gizlaroc Publish time 1-12-2019 22:07:56

Bugger, I always forget about viewing angles till I get them home.

Think I will stick with the Kuro for a while longer.

It's not as bad as some but being a plasma owner yourself and an ex-plasma owner myself it is one of those things that you will notice, other than that colour motion sharpness picture quality and sound are all the positives which make this tv a very good buy in my book.
