Great time to buy one second hand , I've put a wanted ad up for a p20 pro or mate 10 pro for my daughter, as her s6 is on its last legs

I have gone from an S6 to a P20 Pro, fantastic upgrade. Even managed to sell my S6 for £75.

Thanks for the replies, really happy with the phone and don't want to return it. Will stick it out and see what happens.

I went from an s8 plus to a mate 20 pro, and more than happy, shame trump is flexing his muscles

Well I’ve decided to give mine to my wife as she only uses her phones for yapping. I’ve bought an iPhone XR 128gb for £729.

I can see this being a huge non event. There are loads of Xaiomi phones that don't have Google play, Google Maps etc...all you do is go and side load.Patches and updates are similar, you go and side load.I might try grab a wee bargain while all the idiot shops panic and try and off load their stocks data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

If you have no interest in tap to buy from google pay etc and is happy doing a bit of side loading (which is easy tbh just enable unknown sources, download apk and run) then I am sure there will be many bargains about, they are very good phones

cheers

Sideloading is all fine and well, it really depends what you use your device for. it is not a security risk I'm willing to introduce. I'd also not be happy when any of my friend subject my contacts deals to such a compromised device.

If you are concerned that XDA or opengapps etc are hosting a malicious gapps packagethen you can just build ityourself using googles source. zero risk then

cheers

As long as you trust the resources you can do anything you like. Can’t say I can see every user capable of doing that, nor have the knowledge to distinguish between trusted source or not.

But I could be wrong and underestimate the general public.

Hi, about sideloading, dosen't the playstore check which phone you are logging in with. If they have banned Huawei will it still work or block you.
