Depends on the bar, on a normal sized bar sets of ten, on the big coke can sized one sets of 5. There's blokes with 20kilos on me I've seen doing weighted pull ups and dips.

Today's events session in one word, brutal I feel like I've been beaten up! Got a yoke pb of 50kg, after hammering arm over arm which it turns out is a good event for me!

Arm over Arm into sled drag 20m each way - 60, 80, 100, 150, 100.
Yoke 30m - 50, 150, 230(pb), 250(pb)
Farmers 30m - 65, 85, 85

After that my lower back was in pieces, so did lots of stretching to prepare for an afternoon of cheating on my nutrition!

Great tyre flipping!! That looked like a good cardio session as well

You go to a good gym, especially the rowler and strongman stuff you have access to. I wish I had something like that around here.

It's one of the best S&C gyms in the country, anything you ever need is there and we're lucky that all the gym owner cares about is that people improve each session. Tyres are probably my favourite conditioning exercise, you definitely end up blowing hard!

One of the members is part of a documentary on drug free strength athletes the teaser is here!

how much were you lifting mate when you first started?
i remeber i could barely bench 40kg back in the beginging. have you always been lifting heavy etc?

wish i could train with a group of people like you, would make for a lot more gains i think.

I wasn't so meticulous at recording sessions in the beginning as I had a PT doing it for me, the only ones I remember off the top of my head are dead and bench which were 120 and 60. All the sessions are high intensity and none really go light unless it's learning/relearning form.

Having such a great group is brilliant, there's always encouragement and everybody helps each other out a lot. We've all got similar goals in that we want to get stronger and less fat so that's cool.

shame the round trip is a bit too much lol

You'd be more than welcome to join in as well. Wifey and I worked out that during the 20 odd minute drive to the gym we pass 14 other gyms on the way, it's a really cool place.
