Mine seem to be generating about 1 unit per day. I have a 2.88 KW system. Does that mean I'm only generating 1kw?
If so that seems rather low compared to everyone else. 10 of my panels are facing south, but have some shade. The other 6 are facing east.

1 unit of what?

mine generated 7.05kW on Sunday data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

What direction are your panels facing IronGiant?
Also do you have any shade?
cheers

Due South, no shade, quite a shallow pitch, I'll try and work out what.

my best day so far was last friday, 14.5 KW produced....4KW system, south facing, no shade, 55degree pitch

jouster Publish time 26-11-2019 03:44:43

yesterday was best day yet, 15.7 KW...WOW and on a day when it was close to freezing all day long...I know its not temperature based, but its just not what you would expect this time of year.....so in 65 days thats nearly 350KW generated....bring on the summer

IronGiant Publish time 26-11-2019 03:44:44

Well, funny you should say that data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7Apparently PV panels run at reduced efficiency the hotter they get, so at peak summer time you aren't getting the best from them, which is why some systems incorporate cooling to get the best from them and also supply hot water.

Interesting didn't know about those combined systems.

4kWp system made up of 16 x JA Solar 250w mono panels and a Fronius IG TL 3.6 inverter facing south on a 35 degree pitched roof in the Manchester area.
Currently have shadows on four panels due to the installation scaffold which is due to be removed on Wednesday.

Did 11kW today with a peak of 2.24kW around 13:00. Quite happy with that really.
