Based Australian Iman on the Manchester bombings.

Heres some root cause that people are continuing to do their level best to ignore....

Really quite vile and dangerous people....

Manchester mosque condemns terrorist attack but hosts antisemitic, anti-kuffar and homophobic scholars

If you want to kill off the weeds youve got to take out the roots....

Not 'based', but a fake. It's all out there.

Channel 4 many years ago broadcast what was being said in some mosques (I emphasise some as it is just a minority of them). As was widely reported at the time West Midlands Police looked at prosecuting them (Channel 4) for showing it but not the immans making the sermons/comments. After court action by Channel 4 against West Midlands Police and the CPS for libel a payment of £100,000 to settle the case was made to Channel 4 by WMP/CPS.

Nothing much has changed since then, if anything it's got worse, and a blind eye is mostly turned to extreme Salafist messages coming from some mostly Saudi Arabia backed mosques. To add a political dimension to this must be mentioned the dependance of UK governments (both Labour and Conservative alike) on the good will of Saudi Arabia to be able to rely on large arms deals to that state.

Repeated warning have been given for years as to where the radicalisation is coming from, a combination of immans and the internet (again often Saudi and Qatar backed). These are seeds falling onto the fertile ground provided by the UK military involvement in the Middle East and North Africa.

Now that the USA has returned to being arms supplier of choice by Saudi Arabia, it's possible the UK may be more free to crack down on the extreme Salafist/Wahabi promoted ideology in the UK without impacting the profits of the arms companies and the wider economy as a whole.

Fake news or fake Iman?

faiz0 Publish time 26-11-2019 03:23:39

Probably both, but definitely the latter.

Out of interest you keep saying "some", is that your opinion or is there something to evidence that? And what reach do they have to the community?

doug56hl Publish time 26-11-2019 03:23:40

Historical data on 'some' is available. Try a google on 'radical immans mosque UK' and variants plus 'radical speakers islam UK'and variants.

Reach depends on the community. As noted in this article communities are not a guaranteed receptive audienceWatch the moment Muslims shout down 'Jihadis Next Door' at mosque

Doesn't that actually make it worse data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

And how can someone be a fake iman? I am by no means an expert on it, but from the little that I knowthere isn't a single official way an iman is an iman. So it would be interesting to be educated how a fake one is a fake one?

robel Publish time 26-11-2019 03:23:42

My issue with the Muslims shout down Jihadis is that it only deals with the Jihadi side. When I start to see them shouting and shutting down hate speech on homophobia, Jew hatred etc, then I will start to take notice.

In three weeks time there is the Al Quds day demo (June 18th), where previously there has been open Jew hatred and hamaSS & hezbollah flags flying. Will Sadiq Khan have anything to say about this? Or is it part and parcel of living in his city?
