Internet and some preachers
To them any restrictions is a gold mine, see how they persecute us etc. Without such a policy we are still getting extremists, with would be playing into the terrorist hands.
You've just got to look at how much anger their was a year or so back when a son who had fought for IS returned to Britain and was jailed.
Not saying it wasn't the right call as I don't know all the facts, but I can still remember the anger from some Muslim people. This policy would do the same

In general terms, the British public do not like to see any type of armed police officer or solder - not because of them, but it implies we are in danger. I remember the first time we saw that at Heathrow. It was a shock, and very un-British.
But maybe we have to accept Britain has changed. We are no longer a peaceful nation and the danger is within.

It's still peace however evil the attack was.
Using the army for now is fine, keeping them there long term is another

That's along the lines I was getting, plus they dislike the army being used for police roles as it reminds them of police states

So you're saying do nothing then?
Radicalisation is already happening, suicide bombings are already happening, but if we change anything it might upset muslim extremists, so we just accept the already present risk of being blown up by them and hope it's somebody else's turn and not ourselves?
You need to think one step further ahead, you don't fix a problem by ignoring it, you just end up with a bigger problem. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

What is there to get angry about?

Blimey no!
I'm saying every action has an unplanned counter action. There is no simple answer. People are rightly angry at the moment and angry people tend to make bad decisions

Armed police or armed soldiers. You can have them or armed terrorists. What makes you feel better?
Nope. Most people have had no experience of police states. Don't pretend you speak for everyone. Most people's experience of armed officers is going to another EU country.

I thought people were complaining they were only being deployed in London, which would suggest people want them in their local city centre.
