Yes hopefully it will be dealt with data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
Would anyone think it reasonable to expect there are other cases of withholding of evidence that never came to light

There is always a chance, which is where reviews are conducted although the article suggests it won't be a review into cases older than 2018.

"As a result, the CPS ordered a review of all cases where people had been charged with rape or sexual assault, but not yet reached trial, from January until mid-February.

Explaining to MPs on the Justice Select Committee how the situation could have come about, Ms Saunders said in some cases prosecutors had been bringing charges "very early" before seeking further evidence.

She said this happened in situations where it was feared suspects might skip bail, commit further offences or intimidate witnesses but acknowledged there were "lessons we have learned around making sure that we are dealing with disclosure at an earlier stage".

It might well be the case that the CPS didn't get the evidence till late but that means the police withheld the evidence...
Those excuses to the select committee are at best lame and at worst an outright lie..

anyway have a nice day data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Maybe YouGov should have used the word 'like' or 'enjoy' and not the word 'proud'. For example the question could have been posed: "Does your area like being English?" or "Does your area enjoy being English?".

Look up the word 'proud' and note it's about self importance and self satisfaction and high opinion of one's self.

IMO using the word 'proud' is too excessive, but maybe the response is what YouGov wanted - a little steerage.

Or perhaps that is the problem. What’s wrong in being proud, you manage to make it sound like a bad thing. Being proud and having pride in ones actions is a superb trait in my opinion.

But then again I’m technically not British data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I got some middle aged angst last time I expressed those sentiments. It's still nonsense to be proud of an accident of birth.
Love, like, enjoy, appreciate, thankful; all more apt adjectives than proud.

Totally alien concept to me, just like the opposite seems to be to you.

When I was in full uniform part of the defende force for my country, and you hear you national anthem. Damn I was proud.

Likewise during my 17 years working for the British government, and witnessed first hand all the good things we are doing, events we thwarted, I am well proud to be (honoury) British. This nation does things few others can do. And I was not even born here.
