My Facebook seems to be seeing a bit of a backlash against labour and this issue. https://www.avforums.com/attachments/fb_img_1497716611262-jpg.874991/

All parties are guilty or none, unless the Inquiry establishes otherwise, just IMHO.

Quite. You also have to keep in mind the TMO's while they have boards made up of councillors and local residents have their own management teams that make decisions on a day to day basis that may not have enough oversight. It's a cheapshot to have a go at the Labour MP without the full facts being known.

I know it is extremely hard with what has happened but I think we should calm down and not take the Trump Tweet response of a few words blaming or explaining. Everybody wants to know yesterday who and what is to blame but what surely is needed is a calm detached look at the facts in detail before jumping to conclusions. An enquiry should take its time to sort out what happened ,why it happened and who is responsible. In the meantime do what is necessary to help get those poor people back to a life of normality. Marches, riots , invading buildings and other such actions may be the gut response , but a logical response is necessary leaving no stones unturned. For now keep the politics out of it and let the experts work it all out. We can send people to prison later if necessary.
My sympathies are with the people who have broken lives for no fault of their own.

I have to say Teresa May's interview was cringe making. She just repeats 'it was terrible' in answer to every question... Almost as though she's a computer programmed to show empathy, but failing in every level to come across as a normal human being.
I get that she's not the bouncy performer in front of an audience, and part of me feels a bit sorry for her being goaded into one... But for God sake just act like a normal person at a time like this and answer questions with humility.

Nothing to do with Labour at all then, what a surprise.

Reality Check: Can the government requisition homes? - BBC News
The claim: Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn says the government should requisition housing if necessary for those made homeless by the Grenfell Tower fire.
Reality Check verdict: Doing so would not be allowed under current rules, and legislation to allow property to be seized in peacetime would be controversial.

I don't suppose many if any of the millionaireswho own these empty properties would lift a finger to helpthese people which leads to me think those same people should claim squatters rights and simply take them over until such proper habitation is found for them
