At then end of the day this very unpleasant story ois going to run for some time, but the thing that matters most is to ensure all other such buildings are made safe or pulled down and replaced with adequate ones.In the meantime, the residents themselves must be given the right support and provided with adequate accomodation hopefully not too far from where they are now so they can at least be near their friends and families. There will be recriminations and someone(s)has to bear some responsibility but just like aftermath of the Hatfield and Hillsborough disasters, its what happens from now on that matters in a constructive p[ositive sense. As Michael Portillo pointed out there is bound to be a massive rebuilding/alterationsprogramme paid for by taxpayers to ensure this never happens again

As I said in my OP, I'm just putting it out there.
I think it's way to early to be apportioning blame to anyone at this stage, none of us know the facts and it'll be some time until we do. Then will be the time for blame, whoever's door it lies.

A noble sentiment, but if this is to be believed 30,000 buildings in UK covered in same cladding that surrounded Grenfell Tower
There are 30000 of them, where are you going to put that many people during the rebuilding?

As long as it isn't another cover up and the facts are made public.
I agree that we don't know the facts but it doesn't stop certain media outlets from making lies up just like they did when other atrocities happened.
I'm not saying the Conservatives are to blame as that's too simple and I'm sure it wouldn't have just been the Conservative MP's that voted against certain things, I was just pointing out the irrelevance of a couple of the points on the list you shared data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Can the cladding be removed without having to move everyone whilst it's being done?
From what I've read it was mainly for comestic purposes anyway.
Even if they put sprinkler systems into the buildings that would be an improvement.
I'm no expert on buildings and cladding etc so it's a genuine question data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
