She's a crackpot tinfoiler.

Her breaking of the "news" about Cambridge Analytica led to a humbling retraction.

Revealed: the ties that bind Vote Leave's data firm to controversial Cambridge Analytica
Addendum, 29 March 2018: we are happy to clarify that we did not intend to suggest that AggregateIQ is a direct part and/or the Canadian branch of Cambridge Analytica or that it has been involved in the exploitation of Facebook data or otherwise in any of the alleged wrongdoing made against Cambridge Analytica. Further we did not intend to suggest that AIQ secretly and unethically coordinated with Cambridge Analytica on the EU Referendum.

And the investigation by the ICO found no links beyond initial scoping work.

No evidence that the two Leave campaigns worked with Cambridge Analytica, data protection watchdog finds
Claims that the two Leave campaigns worked with the data harvesting firm Cambridge Analytica have been dismissed as baseless in an official investigation by the information watchdog.

The Information Commissioner’s Office has knocked down a series of high-profile allegations levelled against the official and unofficial Brexit groups, confirming it has found “no evidence” to support allegations they used the company’s services.

I hardly call that good work.

LOL

In one exchange from 2012, Farage says “elected prime ministers in Greece and Italy removed by the bully boy bureaucrats and replaced by former Goldman Sachs employees”. The bank is well-known for its Jewish roots.

The elected PM's of Greece and Italy were removed and replaced by Goldman Sachs technocrats. If repeating what actually happened in recent history is now antisemitic then someone needs to have a lie down.

I’m no expert, but I’d guess the part that Jewish people may take offence to is the fact he’s specifically highlighted the fact that they were ex-Goldman Sachs bankers as a negative. But again, those offended would be better placed to explain I guess.

EarthRod Publish time 25-11-2019 21:46:27

I think the fact that elected politicians were replaced by EU appointed technocrats is what he objected to.

Pointing out they are bankers plays in to the general antipathy to bankers, not to the background of that particular institution. (Which I'd never heard of being related to Jews until I read this post, and I work in the city - previously for a big competitor of GS)

Why mention their previous employer?I'm not suggesting that everything he says makes him a raging anti-Semite, but he doesn't really help himself with his rhetoric.

IronGiant Publish time 25-11-2019 21:46:29

Why mention their employer? Because they are a big bank, and supposedly one of the "bad ones".

It's about them being appointed, being bankers, and from one that has a bad reputation.

It's ridiculous to assert that he doesn't like what happened because apparently in the dim and distant past Goldman Sachs was founded by Jews.

Yes, Yes it is.

You can wave silly rankings about all you damn well like, but the fact is the government has cut funding in real terms to education of the next generation of teachers, doctors, nurses and essentially our future workforce ... at a time and place where there are already shortages in many key professions, there are demands to reduce immigration that help can fill those essential job shortfalls.
The young today have less wealth, less equity and less social mobility than previous generations including mine.

In terms of %GDP on education, we are 58th.
