This all comes down too, are 16 years old wise enough to elect?
18-25 turn out was very low in the EU ref, when I asked one *Why didn't you vote?*
He replied *What for?*data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I totally agree.
If old folks can be stupid and dumb, young folks can be clever and forward thinking.
Just because you have silver hair does not make you Einstein overnight.
18, ( Above 17 years, 10 months to be precise) I believe is the right voting age.
Next they will be asking prisoners from our beautiful HRH system to have the vote..... data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Crooks voting for crooks.. how inappropriate ;-)
Again I'd let those locked up vote. Some of them are innocent anyway, and the majority of them will get out and want to be part of society again, at least for a while.

I knew a couple of lads from my heyday that had the pleasure of HRH majesty service.
They said, they learned and honed there crimes to perfection more inside than outside.
Of course, they got caught again so that was a load of BS data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Is that around a 100 MPs majority? Probably more.

Probably Lib Dem. I hate to say. Don't like the idea of them thinking it is okay to overturn the result of a democratic process. I'm just sick of two party politics.

You can leave home but only with an adults permission.
You can have sex at 16, you can't watch others do it on a film.
You can drive at 17 but insurance is massive.
Most things like buying knives or fireworks have gone up. There's as many arguments for raising the age as lowering them.
BBC News - Should the UK be raising rather than lowering the voting age?

On the 50th anniversary of 18 year-olds being given the vote - some wonder if this should be reversed? /proxy.php?image=https://static.bbc.co.uk/news/1.297.03462/apple-touch-icon-57x57-precomposed.png&hash=ab978be5f9150dc02a560209016d7d82&return_error=1 www.bbc.co.uk
As Prof Cowley also points out, the age at which we are allowed to do lots of other things has not been going down, but up.
If you want to use a tanning booth, buy cigarettes or fireworks, or get a tattoo you now need to be 18. It seems odd to suggest that people are responsible enough to vote at 16, but not buy sparklers.

If any of these amendments pass then the bill is being pulled. May need to archive this thread at some point tonight!data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
