I would pay to see the look on David Lammy face if he loses his seat.
*He has claimed over £2 million in expenses since becoming MP*
Disgrace!

I wonder what manifesto fun and games Labour are going to come up with - free villas for students, £20 per hour minimum wage, new 150% tax rate for anyone earning over £80k.
Cheers,
Nigel

Renationalise loads of services for no apparent reason at a cost of £196bn (to start with).....oh wait...
Labour's nationalisation plans would come with 'eye-watering' £196bn price tag, business group warns Labour's plans to renationalise vast swathes of the UK economy would come with a "beyond eye-watering" £196bn price tag, a major business group has warned. /proxy.php?image=http://polhome-newrelease-itops.c9.io:80/sites/all/themes/cleaner/favicon.ico&hash=7c5f2625fb89afd28cf9cc779223afd2&return_error=1 www.politicshome.com

I lived through it in the 70s, nothing worked like trains and transport system, power cuts, unions holding the nation to ransom (we see that today in France) add the strikes and chaos...

I would actually like Water & Energy re-nationalised as everybody must use those and generally need big long term investment. Many don't use trains so not for nationalising trains, just keep Network Rail. Can still open up to competition to run the various parts, just not a "for profit" system and all assets, investments are owned by the Tax payer. No reliance on foreign companies/countries for our critical infrastructure.
I was also around during the 70's. Key is not to have government employees and still utilise competition of UK companies to staff & run the services, ideally without control of large single Unions.

And as everybody knows the utilities provide a good steady income in Monopoly.
Energy especially now so in the real world. As it is many of the large electricity companies are already nationalised, although not by the UK state but that of foreign countries.
