The Tubemeister get pretty good reviews. I was looking at the 18 against an Orange Jim Root Terror. The 18 has a lot to like, not least that it glows blue and had a power soak down to 1w, plus all its other features. I have not tried out both next to each other but on you tube the Tubemeister does not get close to the Orangeon Tone (in my opinion) , which is where it's at I guess.

It was dearest thing I've ever bought, more than my cars which are always at least 3 years old. Still lovely after about twelve years, had upgrades in early years before they pulled out of AV market and concentrated on F1! Who needs HDMI!
