Im with you. Batman should just be that. Detective on the crimes and not just the bat. Batman and robin on the family and dark knight should have gone back to being legends of the . . .
That always used to be a great title. Gave us the cult, prey and venom.

It did feel a bit too similar to the other one which featured Bruce Wayne at some other function but I haven't dropped it yet as I want to see how it develops.
My favourite of this batch so far is All Star Western which looks like it will turn out well but the artwork is a little too muddy for me at times.

Only read one so far.......Animal Man! I was sceptical when I started it but it was a bit of a page turner. The art is really quite grungy compared to some of the polish I have noticed on some of the other DC releases. Story was interesting enough until the last page..........Then I was totally hooked in!
Will hopefully get some time to read some more issues this weekend.

It did seem to get stranger and stranger as the story went on with the last page having a decent what the hell factor.

Anyone else read I, Vampire?
Now I know I'm a bit of a sucker for a good vampire story, but all bias aside I really liked it. The artwork and colouring isn't the usual style I'd go for, but it somehow added ... I don't know ... Gothicness (yeah, shuddup, it's a word now!) to the story, make it feel a bit more visceral, and less like you're reading a comic. Anyone out there who, like me, enjoys the whole vampire thing, I know what you're going to say, you're going to say "what can a vampire story bring me that I haven't seen before?". Well, I don't really have an answer for that since I agree that most of the good vampire stories have already been told (except the one that's in my head!), I'm not promising this will bring something new, but I'd say give it a go, judge for yourself. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I actually preferred Dark Knight to Batman & Robin - but then I've never really been a fan of Robin anyway, so it's not really a surprise to me. Having said that, Damien might grow on me, as he has a certain moral ambivalence (which is kinda reminiscent of Jean-Paul Valley in KnightFall) that could make the title interesting.

I read it but I didn't really enjoy it. Not bad as such but not good either and although the artwork was nice I'll be sticking to American Vampire for now.

Wonderwoman, not sure what to make of it, and tbh, it needed to be bloody awesome for me to even think about picking up #2. Interesting in an Avatar meets A Midsummer Nights Dream kind of way, but not for me.
The same for Superman - I am not a huge fan of the boy wonder, and again it needed something special. Action comics held my interest, this did not.

Strange, I was the other way round - I found Action Comics boring, and I don't really care what happens next, but Superman, poor writing aside ("it was like a Tower of Babel of incomprehensibility"? Seriously?), I found more of an interesting read...

Found both superman titled to suffer just the same as they used to and demonstrate why i stopped collecting
Superman is just too one dimensionsional and dull. Too powerful and too omni present. You never get feeling of risk or jepordy and it just makes every issue feel the same. I much prefer what marvel did with the character of the sentry.
Wonder woman i was not sure of so will read issue two
I enjoyed the flash and will continue with that and i also enjoyed aquaman. Collected him on and off in the psst and quite interested with this latest take on the character
Suprise hit for me was all star western. Good story and enjoy the use of gotham
Men of war was dull. Call of duty the comic
