Those Amazon recommendations are dangerous, as are the listomanias. Discovered loads of titles that I decided I "need" after reading those. Got Chew and Fables and W3S all sitting here ready to be read that all look well bizarre data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Looking forward to getting into them but struggling to find the time at the minute.

well completed my recent reads got instantly hooked on The Walking Dead both style of drawing and writing are superb can't wait to read the other volumes. Not sure though whether to watch the series as I read or watch the series after I have caught up on all volumes.
All-Star Superman was great though I may need to read it again to fully understand, it was a very character driven GN that focuses on Supermans connection to his adopted world, really enjoyed it and it. Finally Earth One lot of hype surrounded this GN and have to say felt bit underwhelmed this will fall into the elseworld category I would be keen to see if there will be any follow ups to this as there are some unanswered questions but it was still an enjoyable retelling of Superman Origins.

I kind of agree, it was a bit lacking in my opinion, could have done with more story, more pages, more lots of things, but was still a good read nonetheless, and like you say, an enjoyable retelling of the Origin.
It's got an Elseworld feel to it, but apparently it's the start of a new line-up, along the lines of Marvel's "Ultimate" series of books - hopefully it'll become a full run series of books in the same vein. Earth One: Batman is due out next year, too...

Please do let us know what you think, I'm sure you'll find Mr Ennis living up to his reputation. There is also a Crossed "Family Values" series going on, and I've pre-ordered the first proper Crossed Graphic Novel in 3D!

I've started ordering some of the X-Men comics, in reading order I've either ordered or purchased the following:
Dark Phoenix
X-Cutioners Song
Astonishing X-Men 1 & 2
House Of M
X-Men Deadly Genesis
and at some point will pick up:
Astonishing X-Men 3 & 4
X-Men: Messiah Complex
New X-Men 1, 2, 3 & 4
Ultimate X-Men Ultimate 1, 2, 3 & 4
As far as I can tell this is the correct reading order from the TPB reading list, can anyone see any that I will be reading out of order?

I'm looking for some recommendations. I'm not interested in superheroes (that includes Batman). I'm after something that would appeal to adults. It can be dark, funny, violent, sexual, western (US, UK...), eastern (Japanese...), etc.. I'm rarely offended by anything. I'm not too bothered about genre either.
Read and liked:
Transmetropolitan
The Filth
Swamp Thing (Alan Moore)
Battle Royale
Sin City
Tintin
Read and didn't like/not interested in:
The Boys
Bullets
Fables
Y The Last Man
DMZ (this was OK, just not interesting enough to make me read them all)
Preacher
Hell Boy
Own/aware of but haven't read yet:
Watchmen
Uzumaki
The Walking Dead
We3
Any thoughts?
