Might be a silly question, but what does the 'lined' bit refer to regarding 'signed, lined and dated'? data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

It's where the author has written something, often a quote from one of their books, or the book in question.Often a book is referred to as "inscribed", and (in my experience) this means that the book has been dedicated to a specific named person.

Personally, I like signed, lined and dated, and detest inscribed or book plates (which are false imho).

Aaahh, fab thank you. I was sat here wondering what was so special about a book that had a line drawn in it data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

This week I have been mostly buying:

A Darkness at Sethanon. 1st edition US version, signed by Raymond E Feist to Howard Marks (someone must have been involved in the production?) Condition is good/very good. Currently have a Trade Paperback version.

The Kings Bucaneer - Raymond E Feist. Not arrived yet, so unsure of condiotion but supposidly near fine, but as longs as its better than the one I bought at Christmas that looked like it sat next to a person that chain smoked all day long, which itself replaced a BCA edition.

Shadow of a Dark Queen - Raymond E Feist. Not arrived yet, but supposed to be as New, Fine/Fine 1st edition, replacing the last BCA hardback I have of hte series.
