My original FTTC was cut off at scheduled date of FTTP going live even though no FTTP had been carried out.
They put me on copper for a couple of weeks whilst considering options. The system would not let them reinstate my FTTC while I had an open order for FTTP so they supplied me with FTTC on a dummy account and kept the FTTP order open. Openreach quoted my supplier, BT to install FTTP and wanted reimbursement of extraordinary costs. BT have said they will pay them but have had difficulty getting the instructions into the system. The last I heard they thought they had achieved that and I am due an update on Monday. Today my Orders have all changed on my consumer portal. If there is any logic to that job code it seems to be a FTTP instal but who knows. And yes they were starting me off at a lower speed on FTTP, about 60Mbps which was higher than the FTTC band, about 40 and much higher than my actual FTTC speed of about 16. |
