Grabbed myself 5 tickets to tomorrows wheelchair rugby finals earlier today. The other half now gets to see the Olympic park; great finish to absolutely amazing summer of sport and volunteering

I looked for a thread in other sections, but me the OH have sat here tonight both saying how poor Ch4 has been regarding cutting things off for ad breaks then skipping parts of matches (wheelchair basketball for one). With my PVR I can pause live broadcasts so why couldn't they pause the action during the ad breaks?

There were races going on that weren't broadcast due to ad breaks or just showing the commentators and medal ceramony for Oscar P was shown for about 3 seconds going into an ad break.

We have enjoyed 'the last leg' but compared to the BBC's presentation of the Olympics I think Ch4 has been very poor by comparison.

I didn't get a chance to visit the Coke place we arrived at 12.30pm and I wanted to queue up when the queue was only about 20-30 people, of course SWMBO decided it was too long and promised me we go later. By the time we got around there again, the queue was a 45 minutes long wait but our swimming session was about to start in 20 mins (I'm kicking myself for not insisting that we join the queue when we first got to it!)

Still, nice day out, great weather!y

Aye. Really good day out. Had a massive walk around. Then watched the Athletics. T44 400m was a great way to finish.

Agree. I've only watched the other three channels, you get to see the event in its entirety without going to an advert immediately after the race has finished. I'd rather watch nothing going on than endless adverts and pointless chat. C4 really let themselves down.

Does anyone know if the closing ceremony is on any other channel, perhaps one that isn't going to be mostly advert breaks at poorly timed places?

Great day out for me too. I'd been to both Opening Ceremonies before but most of the park had been closed off then so it had been my first chance to experience the whole of the park which was amazing. The men's final of the tennis was just outstanding, unbelievable quality and level of skill.

always going to be this was one the events (like the road cycling at Brands Hatch) that OBS decided not to provide a live feed for so C4 are limited in what they can show.
