We left the park today at about 20.20 and we were quite a distance from the stadium but the roar that erupted was so loud it seemed like we were in the stadium! The park is epic the stadium was epic we were around the other side of where the 100m starts and finishes so had to watch the 1 and 200m on the screen but everything else we could watch easily. Great view of the jumping area. We were only 9 rows from the front and 2 blocks away from the torch.

The only disapointing thing about the 2 days we were there were the ****** panasonic 3d thing we queued 20 minutes to watch...sarah brightman singing at stone henge????? ***

I spent the whole day with pne adidas and one dunlop greenflash trainer on due to a rushed morning. Didnt realise until it was too late to turn back and change

Spotted Seb Coe and shook his hand and thanked him for a truly great experience.

I want more but for me and boy thats it

I was wondering what they were showing, I'd imagine if they told people that their 3D HD cinema was showing that, the queue wouldn't be as long!

The boys wanted to watch it. My leg has swollen up and it hurts i think its due to all the walking i did. Cant take a sickie so will have to limp into work this afternoon. Think Brightman has had a face job still looks likea fish though

Did you do the coca cola thing bring the beat in the weird building. Was quite good and you got a free bottle of coke. We abused it and it saved me 7 quid each time we wanted a drink lol

I didn't as I thought it was simply a walk through and the queue was long but if there is free coke then I think I too might queue up for it on Saturday!

What did you guys think of the catering?

We didn't avail ourselves of anything to eat in the park as we ate before or after entering. All we had was a few beers and some nibbles.

But I thought they had done a reasonable job of providing plenty of places to eat and variety.
Given how many people were in the park (250k ) there were no queues to buy food or refreshments other than what looked like an hour long queue for Macdonalds.

Prices didn't seem bad (for this type of event).

Overall I though the organisation of the park was excellent. At no time did we get stuck in any queues or have to wait. Transport was excellent. Even turning out of the stadium with everyone else at 10.00pm, we still walked straight on to a central line tube without waiting.  Similarly had no transport problems getting there.  No queues at security either.

Any concerns prior to the games seem to have been unfounded.

Cheers, a photo with one of the torches as well sounds awesome!

The queue for McDonald's actually moved pretty quickly as the line outside simply was to get in (and I'd imagine also to make crowd control easier), the food was expected although I did think the 'Cornish' (probably more like mass produced in a factory in Essex) pasties were a rip off not so much because they were £5 but because they were so awful.

Still overall, the park has been really well run and to their credit, TfL have done an excellent job on the transport side of things.

I'll be there Saturday. What you going to see?

We are leaving the cycling early. Takes 2 1/2 hours to get home. Wanted to watch the whole event. Have to be realistic though.

We have athletics in the evening. I want to go about 11:00. Soak up the atmosphere. Maybe earlier if I can.

Found the food okay. Not bad, not great. Saying that the hog roast at Hyde Park was nice a few weeks ago. The queue at the Olympic Park for The Hog Roast was about 50 minutes last time I was there.
