I'm off to see the swimming in the evening, I was at the swimming in the evening of the first day and thought it was excellent so looking forward to going again!

you can't leave the cycling early!!!! *horror!* but yeah if takes 2.5 hours to get home that's totally understandable

Each time I've had evening tickets (the swimming before and the two times at the athletics), I too have gone in early to soak up the atmosphere. The hours do fly and I'm certain you will thoroughly enjoy yourself mate!

I was surprised how many people were leaving early from the evening athletics when we went on Monday.  By the end it was only half full. But if you have a long journey home with kids I can understand some people being worried they might miss their last trains or something.

WoW!  I was lucky enough to be in the stadium last night to see 3 GB gold medals including David Weir & Johnny Peacock, it was unbelievable I cannot explain how good it was!

I got some fantastic pictures and videos also, if anyone wants to see some let me know.

I thought the same thing last night, I saw a few people leave as Oscar Pistorius and Peacock were about to start their 100m race, unbelievable!

I'm taking my gfs parents into the park on Sunday as they haven't been yet (we aren't seeing anything as we song have any tickets) but will be nice for then to have a stroll round and take pictures, it got me thinking though towards the end of an athletics session do you think they can walk in when everyone else is walking out so they can take some pics?

We got there at 9:30 this morning. It was a toss up between staying late tonight and going late tomorrow. Or going early tonight so we can go early tomorrow. Decided that was the best bet. See four out of the six races and the start of Alex Zanardi's race. Gutted to miss the whole thing.

I'm not the emotional type but I thought this pic of Jonnie Peacock hugging his mum (and also reportedly saying thank you) after getting his medal was very touching:

here's another, just after he won the T44 100 metres final (I believe that might be his grandmother he is hugging):
