Ah well, I did say before I shelled out my hard earned that I didn't expect it to be an exciting fight, and it wasn't. Fair play to Haye, he's certainly answered the questions about his chin, but he looked out of ideas from the first tonight and all the jumping in and slipping made for a pretty poor performance.
He can say what he likes about his little toe, but he needed to get the combinations going, seemed to just want a repeat performance of the Valuev fight, who was simply much slower than Klitschko, and didn't seem to have a plan B.
Fair play to Vlad, best performance I've watched of his, and you have to admire his humbleness really.
Would think retirement is probably best for Haye now, he won't(and shouldn't) get a shot against Vitali, so might aswell call it a day if he's adament on retireing this October. |
