I agree she is very good but check out thread 6. I think the OP has outlined her achievement very well. Also SPOTY has nothing to do with personalities, judging by past results. IMHO.

I agree,        I don't think Murray should get it because he gets four chances a year to win a slam and he's only won 1...bit harsh but that's the way i feel.

Yeah but thats a bonus for him, if you asked him which he'd rather win slam or gold i bet he'd say slam, tennis shouldn't even be in the Olympics.

Agreed and neither should Football or Golf. Like Tennis these Soprts have all their own Majors World Cups etc.

As do athletics, swimming, and cycling....

Every year or two there is the World Athletics Championships, the World swimming Championships, etc.
Every athlete has the opportunity to be World Champion not just Olympic Champion.
Do you think they only compete in the Olympics?
