He had quite a ding dong battle with Phil.

Amazing last 3 holes he had though.

Ditto on the last point.

The ball ran well for them on the first 2 days so what goes around...

im glad the lads shut those mouthy ignorant yank fans up, especially when near the end they were quiet for their team then tried to put off kaymer i think it was for the winning putt.

they tried the same with poulter at his tee off but it never worked, im also glad the yanks put on that brash awards ceremony just in the american style thinking they were going to win.

@looks like the bookies are not happy with woods conceding the last hole of the game.....

As a non fan of competitive golf, and an even lesser fan of watching competitive golf on TV I do find it comical that some of you belittle the apparent poor sportsmanship by a few "yanks" in the gallery with even worse sportsmanship in winning.

Well played Europe golfers for the comeback.  To some of you euro fans, maybe instead of continuing the trend of being poor winners (or losers) you should buck the trend.  I may be going out on a limb here but it would seem the "yanks" aren't the only ones who need lessons in sportsmanship.

Unless of course two wrongs make a right.

Not sure what you are going on about here. Show me where in the 2010 Ryder Cup at any time did the European fans behave anywhere near as awfully as the US fans did this time round? Booing when the opposing team won a hole, shouting abuse, laughing at bad shouts, saying get in the trees, water etc, etc. They all need to take a leaf out of Phil Mickelson's book.

If we lose, we lose, but at all times respect is given to the opposition.

I'm not saying anything about ANY previous Ryder Cups.  I am saying that responding to the obvious unsportsmanlike conduct on the golf course my American spectators with "im glad the lads shut those mouthy ignorant yank fans up" isn't exactly sportsmanlike in itself.

Sportsmanship is eroding in all sports thanks to people thinking "they did it, so can we".  I'm saying lets buck the trend and let the people who want to act like children be the minority.

I agree that Ian Poulter was fantastic ,but the idea of him getting a Knighthood is not good. We alresdy have people calling for Knighthoods for Olympic Gold Winners and Paralympic Gold winners,Tour De France winners and U.S. Open Tennis winners. Just too much now, they are only Sportspeople doing what they enjoy and being highly paid for it.

Just on way back from Chicago!

US fans were clueless about golf and displayed terrible sportsmanship

Which made it all the more satisfying screaming Ole Ole Ole down their throats at the 18th yesterday!!

Cannot wait to sit down and watch it all again on sky
