my course is a short 9 hole course, we obviously play 18 (with 2nd 9 tees slightly different on most holes.)

saying that is far from an easy course.

far too many bandits about and when conditions are perfect, like sat, the scoring can be very high

47 points won, it was a top 16 qualifying for matchplay, some on 40 points didnt even qualify

seriously how does it work playing the same holes twice ? were not allowed to play the course before a competition , but it seems you can .

I've got an SG5 and a Bushnell 1500 Rangefinder and I much prefer the Rangerfinder.

I don't like the fact you need to pay £30 per year to use the SG5, also having to download courses and delete others on the unit as you're limited to 10 or 15 IIRC and if you forget to charge it you're screwed.

I really should get my SG5 up in the Classified

Had a game on Saturday with my mate in the Doubles 3/4 HC Better Ball, we ended up with 64 and didn't think we'd be anywhere with that but after checking yesterday we were 4th and lifted £30 and we also won our £5 sweep that that's another £30 and got a £10 for a magic 2.

All in all a good start to the season
