Argos were no help, just told me to wait or cancel if i wasn't happy. Didn't seem to understand i didn't want to lose my pre order. I don't even want the SD card, i was just looking at it as money off which sweetened the deal...

I agree though, it does seem a bit suss...

Cheapest price for that card on amazon is £125 with max price at £200.
It's not just a little bit of money involved either but almost 33% of the cost of a 64GB Tab S5E.
Ebay £80 to £100 odd so you could expect to get around that if you sold the free card on.

Well after using it for the weekend I think I'm sold, in all honesty if it was for work/productivity I'd probably be opting for the iPad Air but for media streaming, screen quality, sound and general ease of getting things to work (especially when it comes to streaming/Chromecast in the house) this thing is just great.

Only thing I'm second guessing is whether I should just have sprung for the 4G version now.... tempted to send this one back to John Lewis and order the 4G from Samsung..... that said I might just keep this (had a £200 JL Credit which went towards it) and if I really want 4G/5G and Stylus later could upgrade to the S5 depending on what it looks like!

Picked up the Adonit Dash 3 stylus from Amazon for £37 - as for whether its worth it I think that depends what you use a stylus for - personally with there being no palm rejection its pretty awful for writing notes, etc - however as an alternative to a mouse or a more precise option than the finger it works great and I think once I have a case it would be ok for annotating PDF's etc.

With the s5e being light enough to hold in one hand and use the stylus in the other when browsing I think that works well for me.

Truth be told I've got really used to the Stylus on my Surface Pro 6 so having two different "smart stylus" to use might just get annoying on different devices.

No power/slowness either - currently casting BBC Snooker to my Chromecast, Recording a Channel elsewhere, streaming music via Youtube Vanced and browsing the web with no evident slowness or any other issues - all in all very happy.. just need a damn case now and I really do prefer a case that acts as a stand!!!! - Might just buy the Keyboard Case if it comes into stock first!

How frustrating, it seems to be the black ones that are unavailable, Argos have Silver 64 and 125gb models available

Part of me was tempted to say to Argos about swapping my 64gb black for 125gb silver for the same price and try my luck seeing as I'd lose the SD card pre order bonus.

But I doubt they would and they have mentioned compensation for the wait...

Still, I shouldn't be long without a case on it anyway

That's it. Look on the positive side.
All those who have the Tab S5e can't use them as they can't get cases. By the time we get ours there will be a wide choice of cases available

I ordered a couple of the normal tablet case/stand type things from Amazon but appear to be on the slow train from China... ordered a couple of generic ones but they're going back as they don't really fit at all.

Making do with a UGreen Stand just now!

Well, just had a text from Argos to say my tablet will be delivered tomorrow by Yodel...hopefully it's true and Yodel don't use it as a frisbee...

Now time to get onto them about compensation for the ridiculous wait...
