I'm also not too sure on that either.
It is recommended not to charge too frequently to 100% for longer battery lifespan but a 95% charge maximum limit would seem preferable to the 85% offered. With the recommendation not to go below 20% charge that is only leaving 65% battery capacity for use.
Also not clear with it setting the new shown capacity to 100%, if that is also affecting the lower shown 20% of the scale i.e. is that still 20% of the original 100% battery or is it now 20% of the 85% battery in which case, if my poor logic is correct, could mean you are letting the battery get far lower than the recommended 20% lower limit. I'm confused...
100%: 7800mah
85% of 7800mah = 6630mah
New 100%: 6630mah - 80% = 1326mah
Old 100%: 7800mah - 80% = 1560mah
Really depends on how they have implemented the 20% shown charge. |
