January is woefully over-optimistic IMO. My prediction is they only start shipping mid-2018 at the earliest. I'd love to have mine as soon as possible too, but I'm expecting a string of apologies stating technical and quality issues holding them up.

Let's get out the popcorn and see how they do... I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised
