GTA is meant to be good in VR in short bursts but it is hard on your VR legs (i have not tried it myself however)
but COD........... hmmm, my experience of VR so far is that fast paced FPSers where you are on foot are about the worst kind of games for VR.
maybe if you had an omni treadmill, or a massive (and i mean massive) VR space decked out so you could run around then FPS games in VR could be cool but imo most people struggle in them.
I played half life 2 a fair amount in VR (currently half way through the game). Half Life 2 is far slower paced than COD however personally I found even with my VR legs fully acclimatised i could only play for 40 mins MAX otherwise i would feel very ill.
just my experience of it however and everyone is different.
but looking at a screen of a game in VR does not prepare you for what is impressive in VR.
Take euro truck sim 2...... there is a title which may bore many to tears, and yet in VR it is incredible.....
but the one for me is Elite dangerous. i cant describe how cool it is to fly INSIDE those ships, and it is the only way to appreciate the scale....... in VR you quickly realise how big everything is. |
