Overall this CES has been very disappointing as far as TV tech is concerned. Incremental upgrades to most of the TVs.

HDMI 2.1 - I am not a gamer and my audio out from my 4K player goes directly into my AVR. So this is of no use to me. Streaming providers are still streaming audio at under 1 Mbps which defeats the purpose of 2.1/e-ARC.

8K - It is nice to have but I doubt if cash strapped Joe 6P would buy it.

Micro-LED - Future tech which we won't be seeing for years despite looking promising. I am sure one day this could eliminate the competition but we have no idea when.

DV   HDR10  support on Panasonic OLEDs - A step in the right direction but again the average folks are happy with vanilla HDR.

30% increase in ABL on Panasonic OLEDs - I will believe when the actual numbers are out.

Looks like Samsung is still chasing 2.1 certification. Wonder how LG did ? Impressive really
That wide prism viewing angle is interesting...
Worrying part is that I don’t see any sign of mini led...coming to 4k when 8k doesn’t use it...

If I resume it, the most exciting NEW tv available THIS year is the 8k Sony (zd9 successor) but just gigantic size. Only set with hdmi 2.1 from Sony

A manufacturer released that double lcd tv which seems impressive...forgot who. Hisense?

Only hisense and tcl released mini led for this year with qantum...

Not sure the xg95 is that good but happy to be proven wrong...no hdmi 2.1

Q9 is the serious hope now of a good 55 fald lcd with mini led...not sure they bothered. I see them adding qantum on glass and the AI...plus hdmi 2.1 hopefully

Hmmmm...overall not impressed unless I consider again oled...the choice is opening up there with ag9, pana and LG (hdmi 2.1)

I'm not even sure samsung will even put the lastest  processing on 4ks, or even the lastest screen anti filter, as the push is 8k. Overall shocking ces. IFA is probably going become more interesting for tvs

Looks like it is going to be pana 2019 oled vs new q9 this year...in the 4k category..

@Matson hope you read the what hifi article...if they improved the q9 with ai upscaling and other stuff, that could be something...

Last 2 years, there was big price discounts at launch and some big currys pricing mistakes...hope they happen again this year
