I have to believe Apple will retain that to themselves in order to maintain a reason to buy the 4K TV box?....

Initially yes but it is clear is that they are trying to get more market share and diversification...i believe they are getting far more into streaming...netflix style?
Content is king and imagine apple app in every tv...a dongle is also in the making..

What next? apple buying a tv manufacturers ? netflix? they can pretty much do what they like to some extent..

Good points, gives Apple a more accessible link into every home....... an Apple TV dongle wouldn't surprise me either

I'm astonished that it was Samsung they got into bed with first.... Would'v put my money on Lg or Pana....
