Shopto started processing orders over the weekend.  Would be lovely to see a Wednesday or Thursday arrival as the back half of the week looks pretty clear at the moment....

Haven't read the reviews, but I've seen the scores.  I'm surprised how high they've been.  Could be the definitive version (Gamecube was my personal favourite).

I like the fact that the two games I'm most excited about this year are Animal Crossing and GTA V.  More polar opposites you could not find...

I've not played an ac game before but I'm intrigued!! Are they fairly straight forward to pick up and get into??

Yes - very much so.  Previous versions lead you in gently and you pick it up as you go.  You can probably rattle through the majority of 'tasks' in about 30 minutes each day, but you can just as easily wile away the hours pottering about in your village.
