I would consider myself one of the "PC crowd", but maybe not so much anymore. Consoles like the PS3 have got much better over the years, much closer to PCs in terms of what they can produce. Keeping a PC up to date for the latest games can be a chore and a money pit so I've pretty much given up.
Bought a PS3 about 6mths ago, mainly as a Blu-ray player for the new 42" LCD, but with games, streaming video etc in mind too. I'd say I'm much more likely to buy PS3 games than PC games now, but that also means I'd love to see things like Medieval Total War and the likes on ther PS3, not just a stream of racing games and first-person-shooters (PS3 World of Warfare or Eve Online anyone?). Oh, another benefit of a console, stick the game in and you can be almost certain it'll play, and play as good as it was designed too. With the large range of PC specs you're never quite sure with a PC game. |
