Not really because as soon as I see the titles I will know what the vast majority of them are. I used to play a lot of games as a kid!

Plz'd you posted this as I'd have lost ages looking for a on/off solution, still its strange that the only way to power on is remove/reinstate the power lead.
So I just bought a :- Micro USB Inline On/Off Power Switch for Raspberry Pi (All Models).

I haven't powered on my Retorpie for almost a year. After finding this thread I'm tempted to give it another go.
I never got my PS3 controller working over bluetooth so always used it wired but think I might pickup some SNES controllers or an arcade stick.

Think I'm running an old v3 so need to update to v4. If i remember rightly it was a bit of a pain with the Mame stuff but consoles not too bad to get working but if I remember correctly I just found it too much of a hassle with some things working and other not. Guess I should just go through and test 10,000  games and delete the ones that don't work

Anyone thought of a cabinet for it - I'd love an arcade cabinet with the Pi in it - wouldn't want to build one (apart from flat pack) and I bet they're expensive to buy!

I got mine delivered yesterday, I've had a little play around with the MAME stuff but as I suspected I'm already shattering my memories of playing some of the games back in the 70's & 80's as many haven't stood the test of time.
I think there's 30,000 plus ROM's on mine so it'll take me an eternity to dig through but some of the classics haven't aged so badly.

Keep digging though as there are some great classics. From what I remember the console games seemed to hold up better, especially the NES which has all the classic arcade games (Donkey Kong etc...) and SNES and Megadrive games are always good.

I might try and fire mine up at the weekend and go through them - stick to the usual beat em ups, shoot em ups and platformers.

Btw - isn't there a scraping system in Retropie to get screenshots and menus for each of the games?

Did the Retropie 4 update and scraped everything I had last night., Such an easy process and the scraping was reasonably successful although a bit hit and miss on MAME.

Now need to go through and find the classics

Still couldn't get the PS3 controller to work via Bluetooth although it worked once and then not again so using wired. What's the best SNES style controllers?
I have had these on my Amazon list for ages (not wireless though):

What's this Scape malarkey you keep referring to

I'm loving the Super Bomberman series on the SNES, Robocop, Mercs, Mr Do on MAME, really enjoying finding some classics now

The Micro USB Inline On/Off Power switch was also a sensible purchase.

Those are the SNES controllers that I have, no complaints with them, feel responsive enough.

Scraper downloads cover art and descriptions for the games (most fo them anyway).

There's one in the GUI but I couldn't get ti working so just ran it from the setup menu:

Scraper · RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup Wiki · GitHub

Do you have a link to the ON/Off power switch? Mine is currently plugged into the mains but can;t remember if it's just a USB plug adapter or not but if it is I presume the switch will just plug into that?

Is it this?

Hapurs RPi Raspberry Pi A  B B  Micro USB Cable with ON: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Also need to find a good arcade stick

Can't decide whether to pick one of these up or to buy an n64.
I already have an arcade stick I made which I can use so wouldn't need the pads.
Hmm decisions
