There is some logic to not eating too late but it probably applies more to people who don't exercise a lot, rather than someone who has hit the gym and needs to top up glycogen etc. Type 2 diabetics for example are encouraged to eat early rather than late to give themselves some chance of burning off a few calories before going to bed . I can see how this sort of advice may have been picked up and applied erroneously to people who are training/exercising hard. |
