First we had to lay out the bearers, they don't supply enough with the cabin so I went to Wickes and bought some 3 x 2 to add more. We also added extra between each bearer like a ladder to give the floor the extra strength needed for a gym.
We also set up a temp canopy, the weather was bad Saturday morning.
We stacked the logs up to 4 high and then made sure the building was square. Once square we kept on stacking until we was high enough to slot the windows and door frame in.
I've just noticed some pictures are the wrong way up, I'm not sure why?
Anyway, once the roof was on and covered we put the facia boards up and then laid the floor. I treated the underside of the floor, this won't be accessible once laid so I thought it wouldn't hurt. This is the 19mm floor that comes with the building, I'm going to lay a 4mm hard board on top of this and then a 10mm rubber mat on top of that.
We then hung the doors and glazed those and the windows, I went for the double glazed option.
I've now got to lay the rubber floor and give the outside one last coat once the weather picks up.
I ordered all the gym equipment today and that comes on Friday, by Friday everything should be finished, I will update the thread over the weekend. Sorry again about the orientation of the pics, if a mod can turn them I would really appreciate it.
The forum software is actually pretty clever because if there is any orientation information in the photo (the exif data) then the photo is automatically rotated to the correct orientation after it's uploaded.
I know for sure that some (probably all) mobile phones have sensors to know which way up they are and write this information to the exif data of the photos and videos they take. Have you ever taken photos or videos which are the wrong way up when you view them?
If the camera was 'the wrong way up' when taking the photos then that's your problem. Did you take them with a phone?
The only way to fix this is to delete the attachments and manually rotate them before uploading them again.
My iPhone can rotate images. A lot of free image viewing software can do it also. Windows picture viewer can be used to do this, I believe.
