4 weeks from Staffordshire and I only started cycling again a couple of weeks ago after my marathon training. My first ride in 6 weeks was up Mt Tiede in Tenerife which was basically a world of pain as cardio was fine, but my poor quads and hip flexors were not very happy and few rides since have been hard, but hopefully should be okay. Not done much swimming either, but I never do so no change there. In reality though I'm targeting Weymouth as my A race and hoping I will be relatively competitive (top 10 in age group) so I have time. |
