You'd have been OK then, I got 6 individual sausages, added them to 2 freshly baked wholemeal buns, and a dollop of Dijon mustard, wonderful!

20 minutes in the oven followed by 10 minutes under the grill to finish them off.

For a long time I've had the Richmond's sausages (Irish Recipe), but since they were rather bland I've always had English mustard on them, as they were lacking in flavour.

Tonight, I tried Tesco's "Butcher's Choice Cumberland Sausages", and I found them to be quite tasty, better than Richmond's in almost every way.

But I've also heard people recommending their local butcher's sausages most of all, so I think next time I'll look at my local to see if his pork sausages are up to scratch. It'll be a fun odyssey, I'm sure.

Not sure these are the best, but they go on sale in Aldi on Thursday in their "Specialbuys", so only a limited number ..
Spicy sausages at Aldi contain chili 417 times hotter than a Jalapeno

I'm confused, is this they best type of sausage (cumberland, Boerewors, Chorizo, Merguez etc) or the best brand (surely some local butcher has to be better than Tesco etc?)

Personally, a number of our local butchers all do really good "non-breakfast" sausages that are great on a BBQ or in Toad-in-the-Hole etc but are just too meaty at 8am. They do some good breakfast types too (finer grind etc) but not the show stoppers that the others are.

Five and a bit years is nothing, seen quite a few 10  year old threads resurrected.
