Try pulling a shot with 70ml of water, then, if you want a longer drink, add 70ml of water from the kettle - does it taste better than your original 140ml all pulled directly through the coffee?

possibly - I haven't read all this thread so don't know if it's been mentioned or not already haha...

but it's cheap - I put in 10 table spoons worth of ground coffee (but then I put in 5 in a normal cafetiere...), give it a stir and it takes over 18 hours for an idea brew...

you're supposed to add normal water to dilute it a bit - but I don't always, then pour into a cup, add milk and place in microwave until hot - and it's really smooth and strong...

My standard Aeropress brew is 24g of coffee in a 220g finished drink (topped up to 220g after brewing, probably 180g? water in the brew - I'll measure that later) so that's in cafe crema territory I think..

I'm having a slow week on the coffee, I've just started on this Guatemala La Bolsa El Buho a few minutes ago and i'll be picking up my next bag at the market tomorrow, I'm usually on my last brew by Friday lunchtime!

My standard AeroPress brew is a scoop of coffee with water to the top plunged into a mug and topped up with a bit of water and milk.

Heathen or what?

Yeah same here but in the interests of good teamwork I thought I'd share my telemetry data.

60ml extract expresso from a double shot with my Sage.

I then add water for americano.

PACT online is good - the Fazenda Chapada is superb.

If you want to use link below - i think you get a bag for a £1 or something. Plus £3 credit on your account.

Mine is a scoop of coffee, topped up with water. Sometimes will add water for an Americano, otherwise drink it as it comes out of the aeropress so it's a bit stronger.
