On a serious note please consider what I went through as I was told the situation ran close. It took the medical staff two and a half days to get me out after the five and a half hour open heart surgery. If it went to three days my wife was told they would have done a CT scan on me, mind you they wouldn't have found much.
What we are talking about here is extremely rich people screwing the rest of our collective society with their clever tax avoidence in millions and millions. By the way I do (seriously) pay my taxes and am happy to do so. I would have been more than happy to give my tax obligations to the NHS without wanting and needing their life saving help I assure you, as well as to the schools that educate us. In fact my wife is a school teacher who's core subject is maths and she teaches children that can best be described as "special needs" which include children with health issues as well as social problems. I've also been a London taxi driver for over 43 years and pay my way.
What I was highlighting is that I am being taxed on my income and support allowance which came to just under a measly £3k over a seven and a half month period after paying into the system for 47 years, and it now includes my state pension because I can still earn a living, thank heavens. These guys, including certain actors from a well known BBC comedy and there maybe other actors, are actually paying absolutely nothing, zero, sweet f a, nada, b***er all which is nothing less than a complete disgrace, that's all take care. |
